CSIC delegation in the Balearic Islands presents the traveling exhibition ‘The Island of Pollinators’ in Mallorca. This exhibition, created by the University of Vigo and the Xunta de Galicia, is based on the comic of the same name developed by these institutions.
The main purpose of this exhibition is to raise public awareness about the crucial role of pollinating animals in the ecosystem and the importance of their conservation.
In addition to the exhibition, there is an animated short film with the same name, which is part of the educational initiatives.
These actions are part of the LIFE Insular project, in which the Galician Community participates, and the LIFE 4 Pollinators project, in collaboration with the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies (IMEDEA, CSIC-UIB).
