Posidonia oceanica seedlings, growing from seeds collected in Cala Gamba, in the bay of Palma.

In the photo, in a laboratory in Palma, we can see how they grow in a fish tank, preparing to be transplanted to an experimental artificial reef, within a research and development program with engineers and scientists.

The peculiarity of these seedlings, in addition to their liveliness, is that they have a genetic variability that makes them potentially more adaptive to the environmental changes of the Mediterranean, pure hope for the important environmental and ecosystem mission that they lead… thanks posidonia!
